When Questions Begin

Most of us move through life attending to what is immediately in front of us — our responsibilities, relationships, work, and the practical demands of living.

For long stretches of time, this is enough.

Yet for some people, a moment arrives when ordinary experience begins to carry an additional layer of curiosity.

A dream lingers after waking.

A symbol appears repeatedly in unexpected places.

A feeling or pattern in one's life quietly asks to be understood rather than simply endured.

At first, these moments can feel small — almost easy to dismiss. But they often carry a subtle invitation.

Not an instruction.

Simply an invitation to look a little more closely.

When this happens, many people discover that paying attention begins to reveal patterns that were previously unnoticed. Dreams begin to feel less random. Symbols begin to feel less accidental. Experiences begin to form quiet relationships with one another.

Reflection becomes the simple act of observing these patterns as they unfold.

Nothing mystical is required. No special belief is necessary.

Only curiosity.

In this way, the ordinary experiences of being human — sleeping, dreaming, noticing, reflecting — begin to open into a deeper form of attention to life itself.

It is often from this simple curiosity that a deeper exploration begins.

And for some, that exploration eventually leads to the patterns of coherence that underlie the work I have begun to call Orange Harmonics.
